Dr. Richard Cote, MD, FRCPath, FCAP is the Edward Mallinckrodt Professor and Chair of the Department of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, as well as having held multiple leadership positions at the USC Keck School of Medicine and prior to his arrival at Washington University was Chair of Pathology at the University of Miami, where he was also the founding director of the Biomedical Nanotechnology Institute. His educational background comprises degrees in chemistry and biology from UC Irvine coupled with a medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine at The University of Chicago, followed by residency in pathology at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical College, research fellowships at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in human tumor immunology and NYU School of Medicine in molecular pathology, and a clinical fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in oncologic surgical pathology.
